A New Type Of Eclectus
We ran into a guy last week who told us his male Eclectus was a "Tahitian". Of course there's no such thing but the thought occurred that with all of the mis-matched Eclectus out there we should come up with a name for them....
After all, Catalina's, Ruby's, Mili-Golds and Camelot's are names for mis-matched Macaws. Maybe we should call cross bred Eclectus Emeralds or Diamonds.
Your thoughts and suggestions are most welcome. Let's give these birds a dignified classification and quit calling them Solomons or Red Sided or Vosmaeri.
