Tanya
We've been looking for two years for a proper mate for TJ our male Umbrella Cockatoo. TJ, as you may know, is the "alpha male" of our aviary, a wonderful pet and a beautiful breeder. He greets everyone who visits our aviary with a "what cha doin".
Last week we brought Tanya home. She is presently in quarantine pending medical results we get on all new birds. After the tests are in she will spend a couple of weeks in a cage next to TJ's...kind of a get to know you time. See, male cockatoos are notoriously aggressive. TJ hasn't been that kind of bird in the past but we are taking no chances.
With a little luck, we'll have some baby TJ's around here this summer.
