A Happy Note
Hi Deb & Craig,
Maxx sends Seasons Greetings to you and yours. We thought a lot about you during the storms and hope and pray that you made it through okay.
Maxx is doing GREAT! You may remember that his move to Pa. was a bit traumatic. He took his sweet time getting used to us but all is well now. He is sitting behind me having his breakfast. His cage is connected to my desk with a perch and he comes down every morning to have coffee with me (he has apple juice). He taught me to share bill paying duties with him. Each week I spread every thing out on the desk and take care of the finances. One day he came down and started shredding the bills. As much as I appreciated his help we had to work something out so now I fold up bits of paper and he sits on the edge of the desk making confetti while I pay the bills.
He is talking though he prefers whistling tunes. He likes singing along with the radio but isn’t very good. We don’t have the heart to tell him. He also taught me that we need to take showers together since he basically trashes the kitchen every time we use the sink. He goes crazy, screeching and flapping around…loves it. Then he settles in under the heat lamp and quietly coos away. I picked up a suction cup perch and put it on the car window. We go for rides together. He gets a kick out that. He crouches down and leans into the turns…kind of like a downhill skier. He yells at the trucks.
He is a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you again for all you did to help bring us together.
Merry Christmas,
Pat, Theresa & Maxx
