Dr. Tom Tully
The Louisiana Aviculture Society was privileged today to have Dr. Tom Tully, DVM speak on a variety of avian topics. Dr. Tully is the resident avian specialist at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine as well as the the current president of the Association of Avian Veterinarians(AAV).
After covering current research at LSU including an avian vaccine for west nile virus and orthodontic appliances to straighten deviated beaks in Macaws and Cockatoos, Dr. Tully conducted an informative discussion on the prevention and treatment of several viral and bacterial avian diseases.
