Can Parrots Cry?
![](http://ic.ucsc.edu/~csjohnso/photoshop/images/art/bird-sm.jpg)
We spent a while talking to Carole in South Dakota tonight. She was telling us about an abused Cockatoo that she rescued. It took her years to get the bird to allow her to hold it. One day she walked into the bird's room and it had chewed a large hole in her window casing. She scolded the bird in a loud voice and she swears that the parrot held her head down and shed tears. At this point she did also.
I don't doubt Carole's story. Parrots continue to amaze us.
