TJ
Those of you who have visited our place over the last three years will remember TJ the Umbrella Cockatoo. TJ is the reason we left our home in the suburbs and moved to heaven in the country.
TJ went to the vet yesterday for a check-up. While he was in the waiting room a young boy and his mother sat down with their pet. We could see that TJ was intrigued. He was giving them the one-eyed look through the side of the cage. All of a sudden he started talking..."Hey, what cha doin"..."Its a pretty bird"..."Come see the pretty bird"..."Hi"...
Needless to say, the kid was overwhelmed. We left him at the vets for a couple of hours. We warned them that he was excited and may become noisy. They laughed and said he was cute.
Two hours later, we went in to pick him up. The vet's staff were all wide-eyed. They told us that TJ had indeed decided to celebrate life as only he could. The walls shook...the windows rattled...the staff was glad to see him and glad to see him go.
That's our boy. TJ is the most popular attraction at the Chateau and he has 25 acres to scream in whenever he wants to...we love it.
