Chateau Plumage Social Activities
Some places just scream out for guests. Ours is one. This weekend our daughter threw a birthday party for her boyfriend and invited their "closest friends". At 10:00 pm Saturday we had 40 slightly enebriated twenty-somethings on the property. We had a rule that either they have a designated driver or spend the night. Sixteen spent the night in the guest house, the main house, a tent and various cars.
With the party in the guest house, we hardly knew they were there. More importantly, nobody got stupid and they left the place as clean as they found it.
Tuesday night, our son's band set up in the same place for practice, having been thrown out of his apartment complex for excessive noise. Again, amazingly, no complaints.
Plans are now underway for a combination company crawfish boil/Rachael's birthday party on the same day. This is really going to test the limits of the chateau. Wish us luck.
