Cement Pond
As part of Chateau Plumage, we got a cement pond. The pond is populated by a small family of frogs and smaller water insects. There might be a small fish or two in the darkest depths but we haven't noticed. This pond was once a swimming pool but hasn't been cleaned in three years. As a result there is at least 18" of limbs and leaves in the bottom and the sides are a magnificent green.
Ordinarily, a pool company would be called and we would be back in business in a matter of days...but, no. We have a bunch of friends who believe that they can do the job just as well. We also have a power washer that seems to want to work.
So, for the next three weekends we will be working in the mud, trying to make the pond look like a pool. Eventually, the pool company will be called to fix our mistakes but for the time being we are proceeding like we know what we are doing.
