Sheetmetal
This is called a sheetmetal break. You take one of these and add an operator with 23 years experience and you can do wonderful things with metal. Then you mix in one of these Pittsburgh machines...
...and you can produce most anything in sheetmetal. We use these machines, plus a variety of hand tools, to produce the most sophisticated air conditioning duct systems. Sometimes our ductwork for a single job exceeds $30,000.
So now we are building the sturdiest, highest quality nest boxes in the world. And my shop foreman, Milton, loves it. It's different and he enjoys the change of pace. He also enjoys having a lot of work in the Winter, when our business is usually slow.
So everybody wins...I get all of the nest boxes we need to operate J-Birds...Milton gets a change of pace...breeders around the country get a wonderful product at a reasonable price. Special thanks to Kellie in Pennsylvania who gets a medium Macaw box for her Blue and Golds next week.
Still no name for the boxes but we hope to have one locked in before we ship to Kellie. Keep commenting please...
